First CSA Delivery of the year from Eagle Creek Farms

Yum! We picked up our first CSA (Community Shared Agriculture) delivery yesterday in the crazy heat. Included in our half-share was a bag of mixed greens – looks like lettuce, arugula and spinach, some potatoes, garlic scapes, radishes, a small bunch of flowers and a pot of herbs (I loved how the herbs come ready to plant – I chose hot chile).

There are 14 deliveries altogether. Size of delivery apparently ranges from quite small in the beginning to fridge busting in the peak season. Can’t wait for DH and I to eat our fresh veggies. Fresh from the garden always tastes so much better than supermarket…and I like how we are supporting our local farmers.

About Eunice

I'm just a girl who is passionate about food. It is my personal quest to try to expand my culinary horizons both at home and abroad. However, I was not always passionate about food. I had my epiphany much later when I got my very first job...at a sushi joint here in town. And just like that "Hook, line and sinker"...a foodie was born! I'm a P/T blogger, P/T yogini...but always a foodie.

  1. Looks great. I just learned that you can use radish tops in pesto and probably other things!
