For the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede, our city did something a little special. In addition to doing the nightly fireworks on the grounds, the powers that be decided to change it up by putting on a fireworks show from each of the four quadrants of our city (choreographed to music). These special shows occurred on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each of the two weekends that stampede landed on.
While I never did get a chance to climb to the top of Nosehill Park – where apparently, all 5 shows could be viewed at the same time…I did catch the occasional glimpse of the show from Canada Olympic Park from my own back yard.
Here is a lovely video that someone captured of the show closest to my home. Hope you enjoy!
